EVA foam material If your client is an athleisure enthusiast, there may be no better cushioning material than EVA that caters to the fundamental interests of the widest range of fans.

If your client is an athleisure enthusiast, there may be no better cushioning material than EVA that caters to the fundamental interests of the widest range of fans.

When transferring material from one location to another, losses from jostling and impact are unavoidable. However, you can minimize this effect by using highly cushioned EVA foam and bring this property to your assortment of staples, yoga mats, sneakers, protective pads, “armored weapons” ,helmet……

EVA, live up to the good life, protect the life safely.

EVA, ethylene-vinyl acetate, also known as poly (ethylene-vinyl acetate, PEVA), is a copolymer of ethylene and vinyl acetate. In terms of flexibility, it is close to an elastomer, so it is commonly known as expanded rubber, EVA foam, and foamed rubber. Can be processed like thermoplastics, with high levels of chemical crosslinking, resulting in semi-rigid closed-cell products with fine, uniform cell structures.

The weight percent of vinyl acetate typically varies between 18% and 40%, with the remainder being ethylene. Depending on the ingredients in the production process, different levels of EVA hardness can be obtained. It is important to consider the hardness level as EVA does not regain its shape after continuous compression. Compared to harder EVA, softer EVA has less abrasion resistance and shorter outsole life, but higher comfort.

EVA foam has a wide range of good properties:

Moisture resistance (low liquid absorption)

chemical repellency

Sound absorption and sound insulation

Vibration and shock absorption (stress crack resistance)

Design flexibility

Weather resistance (low temperature toughness, UV radiation resistance)

heat-insulating, heat-resistant

buffer

damping

High strength to weight ratio

smooth surface

Plasticity, ductility, thermoplasticity, etc.

| EVA production formula
The production process of EVA foam material includes pelletizing, blending and foaming. The EVA resin is processed into small enough particles, and then in a certain proportion, these particles are mixed with other additives and different formulations to generate different EVA foam materials. As a customized EVA foam material, the main materials are EVA, filler, foaming agent, bridging agent, foaming accelerator, lubricant; auxiliary materials are antistatic agent, flame retardant, fast curing agent, colorant, etc. The selected foaming additive and catalyst mixture determines its density, hardness, color and resilience properties. Manufacturers are now developing ultralight, conductive, antistatic, shock resistant, antibacterial, fireproof and biodegradable formulations for special purposes.
